Celebrating Mom!
As we approach Motherâs Day, I want to take a moment to acknowledge all of the incredible mother figures in my life. There have been so many wonderful women who have helped shape me into who I am todayâand I donât think Iâve ever truly said itâso thank you for everything youâve given me over the past 55+ years. It really does take a village.
It wasnât until I became a mother myself that I fully understood just how hardâand how rewardingâthis role would be. Itâs the most important job Iâve ever had. I never imagined how tired Iâd be for about 10 straight years, or how proud, happy, protective, and excited I would feel watching my children grow, find their own paths, and build lives of their own.
So whether youâre a first-time mom, a seasoned mom, or somewhere in betweenâplease know that you are doing an amazing job. Itâs not easy, but it truly is the best job in the world.
St. Paulâs Weekly Update
- Friday, May 8th – St. Paul’s and it’s members are invited to an afternoon coffee and dessert party on May 8 at Sacred Heart Parish Catholic Hall from 2:00 – 4:00pm. The volunteers of the Virden & Area Food Cupboard want to thank the people and businesses of Virden and surrounding area who have supported them over the last 25 years enabling them to provide food to those in need in our communities.
- Sunday, May 10th – In Person Worship with Joyce Marsh at St. Paul’s. Motherâs Day Turkey Supper– tickets available at the office. Cost is $25 each.
- Friday, May 15th – St. Paul’s Spring BBQ 11:30am – 1:30pm Rain or Shine. Hamburgers, Cheeseburgers, Sweet Treats and Beverages.
- Sunday, May 17th – Holy Humor Sunday, have your clown noses and wigs ready to join us.
- Monday, May 18th – Church Office closed for Victoria Day.
- Thursday, May 21st – We look forward to the next Faith and Feastâ everyone loves lunch, and who doesnât love a little trivia to go with it!
