May 1st marks my 20th anniversary of serving at St. Paulâsâwhich doesnât seem possible, unless the calendar has been quietly speeding things up behind my back.
Over the years, there have been plenty of changes. Ministers have come and gone and members of our congregation have moved away or are now cheering us on from a different place. The United Church itself has also gone through its fair share of updatesâproof that even the most steadfast traditions need a little tune-up from time to time.
Through it all, one thing hasnât changed: St. Paulâs steadfast commitment to its people and to the community. We continue doing our best to be the best we can beâmost days with grace, and occasionally with a good sense of humour when things donât go quite as planned.
So, I say thank you for all of the support through out the years, it truly is the best place to be!
